Railway Society, chaired by the WP/AIRF, doesn’t care for the safety of its own employees

Chennai: No less than 6 employees of the Railway Society (RECCS Ltd), Chennai are infected with Corona virus at present.

The Society is running with full strength and all the staff are forced attend the office without any rotation as otherwise they are not paid with any Salary.

The Majority of the 600 odd employees of the Society are occupying two floors of the head quarters of the Society leaving them cramped for room without any scope for physical, or so called social distancing.

“It is unfortunate that an institution like the Railway Society, Chennai (RECSS Ltd), which is chaired by the working president (WP) of AIRF, is deteriorated to such level that it is not showing any regard for the safety of its own employees”, said many employees of the society.

The Society, which is managed by the recognised union of Southern Railway Mazdoor Union (SRMU) had earlier refused to allow any moratorium on the loans taken by its Members of the Society during covid lockdown inspite of several requests.

It is absolutely clear that the Management of the Society does not care for its members or its employees but care for the self interest of few people who are running or managing the Management.
