SER Central Hospital Celebrates World Heart Day

Kolkata: World Heart Day 2024 was celebrated at Central hospital, Garden Reach, South Eastern Railways along with the Swachchhata Hi Sewa cleanliness campaign in a very effective manner.

It was lead by Principal Chief Medical Director, Dr Anjana Malhotra, Medical director, Dr K Sreekumar and ably assisted by Dr B N Jha, ACHD/Cardiology and the team of Doctors, Paramedics, Students, Ministerial staff of PCMD office, AHO, HI and their team.

It began with a pledge taken under the leadership of Principal Chief Medical Director, Dr Anjana Malhotra emphasing the modern health care facilities available here and the commitment to total patient care and satisfaction.

It was followed by reading out the slogans and placards about World Heart day and its significance.

Medical Director, Central Hospital, listed out the common myths about Cardiovascular diseases that was clarified lucidly by Dr B N Jha, ACHD/Chief Cardiologist of Central hospital Garden Reach.

A march from Central hospital to Principal Chief Medical Director office through the North colony GFM road was the highlight with slogans, banners eugolising the importance of World Heart day and the importance of Swachchhata Hi Sewa Abhiyaan.

This was followed by cleaning activities performed at the designated RRC surroundings emphasizing that a safe and clean environment is equally important along with healthy lifestyles for a Healthy life for all.
