NFR-IRCON: High Level Manipulation in Tunnel Tender
After a detailed thread of our post on X on the #Tender no. IRCON/ 2046/SIVOK-RANGPO/S&T/TENDER/02 dtd. 24.01.2024, it was withdrawn on dtd. 16.08.2024 and retendered on the same day vide tender no. IRCON/2046/SIVOKRANGPO/SnT/TENDER/02/R] [2024_IRCON_205168_1 dated 16.08.2024.
After investigating further, it was discovered that NFRailway’s #CSTE-Construction office had issued a letter no. N/224/153/Con/IRCON/Sivok-Rangpo dated 06.06.2024 addressed to AGM(S&T)-IRCON to cancel the said tender and retender it without making any changes.
On behest of this letter #IRCON should have immediately cancelled the subjected tender and should have initiated the process of retendering.
Why did they took almost ‘Two and a half months’ to act on this advice? It again points out towards external sources that someone was pressurising IRCON International Ltd. to delay the process with the ulterior motive of gaining financial benefits.
The total expected work of #TUNNEL Communication in #NFRailway would be close to ₹1500+ Crore and it appears that one single #Contractor is trying to pocket all these large size #contracts through #PSU’s utilizing it’s influences and threating using political connections.

What’s alarming is that in case anyone tries to question this arrangement or raises any issues on TUNNEL COMMUNICATION they would be transferred irrespective of whether they are working for RAILWAY PSU’s like #IRCON, #RailTel, #RVNL, #RITES or directly #NFRailway Construction Office.
A senior official at #IRCON has been transferred and SAG to Junior grade officer have been removed from the responsibilities on raising the queries against these tenders.
Above all there are few Tunnel communication projects which has finalized by #NFRConstruction, in favors of PSU’s against which our team is already campaining at Guwahati to get more documentary evidences and details of anomalies in the awarded tenders.
Our team will keep eyes on all these #manipulations and will keep posting/updating the real facts.
