AISMA observed ‘Silver Jubilee’ of Station Master’s Historical Strike
Mumbai: All India Station Master’s Association (AISMA) Mumbai Division, Central Railway on 11.08.2022 at Kalyan Station, observed “Silver Jubilee of Masters’ Power Day” in rememberance of their “Historical Strike” on 11.08.1997 of stopping all the Trains for 2 minutes at every Signal.
AISMA Mumbai Division honoured to the brave leaders & Warriors of that Strike. All the legendary SMs shared his memories and experiences of that Strike.
One of the architects of the 1997 strike and the then GS/CR, ExSG, ExCP P. K. Das shared his memories and experiences in detail. He explained what was the position of the station masters before the strike of 11.08.1997 and what changed in his position after strike. He told how the organisation was strengthened and how strong the association is in today’s time.
The then DP/BB/CR Balram Majumdar and S B Mahidhar also shared his 1997 Strike memories and experiences in detail.
On this occasion ZP/CR D. S. Arora, ZFS V. S. Kashikar, Ex ZP S. B. Singh also shared his 1997 memories.
In the end, Mr. A. K. Shrivastav and Mrs. Aparna M. Devdhar recited their own poem based on the 1997 strike.
On behalf of AISMA Mumbai Division, Alok Kumar, DS/BB/CR thanks to all the serving/retired brave comrades of the 1997 strike. He expressed his gratitude to them for taking out their valuable time to attend this function and make the Silver Jubilee of this Power Day memorable occasion.
