Another “karnama” of the “Revolver Wala Officer”

A Principal Finance Advisor (PFA) of one of Zonal Railway has been recently assaulted by a known Gunda-Chhap drunk traffic officer at the Officers’ Club.

The GM is being admired by the rank and file for taking a tough stand and getting the ruffian shifted officer concerned out of the Zone.

The culprit has a long history of misbehaviour with seniors, juniors and colleagues.

He was almost boycotted by his whole cadre as he instills fear among one and all.

Some years back he was badly thrashed by the Cycle stand contractor and his staff at a Railway Station when he harassed them for months together asking hefty bribes and threatening to shoot the contractor with his revolver.

Earlier, as the SrDOM he had tortured and annoyed the staff so much that the entire Control office had gone on strike demanding his transfer due to his abusive nature and misbehaviour.

The DRM and other senior officers had to intervene to placate the control staff who obliged after days of negotiations.

Then, again he had major problem with a Union when he fell out with the Union leader over illegal demands from Staff.

Then also he was promptly transferred out by the COM though he was in that post only for 7 or 8 months.

This, notorious man has unfortunately got the full support of a very popular senior traffic officer earlier and is now reported to be fortunate to get the backing of another.

The accused IRTS officer has the dubious distinction of being the only SrDCM in Indian Railways to be beaten with chappals by his own DCM about 12 years back,

In the beginning of his career itself this officer was transferred out of Danapur Division, East Central Railway to save him as the local police had registered criminal cases against him.

Thus his entire career is full of stories of abusive nature, misbehaviour, illegal demands, high handedness, allegations of corruption, extortion and worse.

The officers of the Zone are totally divided in to two camps as the PFA in question is reportedly no better than his tormentor. He too is very abusive, rough and quarrel some.

That’s perhaps the reason most of the officers prefer to keep a safe distance from both the parties in question.

Now the big question is, will the senior traffic officers stop helping such rogues???
