Women Welfare Organisations are a big nuisance in Railways!
Women Welfare Organisations (WWO) are a very big nuisance in Railways, practically their official function is done by staff and supervisor of various department.
Clear misuse of manpower, rarely such bodies are financially fair.
Main work is their own entertainment which includes function like teej and other night’s.
Sometimes they do give financial and other assistance in case of accident, natural calamity, fellowship & scholarship to deserving wards of railway employees, vocational training to widows and to the children of Railway employee.
In few cases running school & other centre and that’s also only for namesake.
But for all these activities secretarial assistance, financial accounting, auditing is done by railway men as duty.
Such organisation are more of ceremonial in nature and there is no use of them in the railway system.
It should be banned immediately or as early as possible by the government, writes some working and retired senior Railway officers to the “Railwhispers”.
