Fire in Empty Coaching Rake of a Passenger Train in Rohtak Yard of Delhi Division of Northern Railway

  2. Location: At Rohtak Station Yard

  3. Train No.: 04453 (NDLS-Rohtak) MEMU

  4. BG/Double Line/Electrified

  5. Section: Rohtak – Bhatinda

  6. Load: 16 Coaches

Brief history: While the Empty Coaching rake of Train No. 04453 (New Delhi-Rohtak) MEMU was stationed on the Goods line (adjacent to PF No. 1) in Rohtak Station yard.

Fire noticed in Motor Coach No. 30141 at 14.10 hrs which spread in the adjacent three coaches (Nos. 30145 and 30101 and 30336).

Fire Brigade Rohtak arrived at 14.25 hrs. Second Fire Brigade arrived at 14.40 hrs.

  • No casualty/injury to any person.

  • PF Cause: Awaited.

Restoration: Fire extinguished at around 15.15 hrs with the help of Fire Brigades.
