Immediate attention of PMO is required to curb the malpractices in almost all Divisional and Zonal Hospitals in Railways

In the Medical department of Indian Railways retirement of Doctors has been increased to 62 years and they can further work till age of 65 years.

But it is irony that these doctors having age of 60 or 62yrs work on administrative post and do not treat any patients at least in the Railways.

In this situation what is the use of keeping these doctors at very high salary and other facilities.

Normally these doctors get posting after 62 years in the railway where usualy they worked as CMS, MD, PCMD. So they do not treat even a single patient but get highest salary with huge non-practice allowance.

It is high time that extension of medical doctors in railways to be restored back to age of 60 year.

On one side government is not able to give increased DA to its employees where as Railways is giving approximately Rs. 3 lakh per months and other facilities to these doctors without any fruitful work by these senior and elderly doctors. They sit idle and get full salary.

One CMP Doctor get approx Rs. 75000/- per month and treats maximum number of patients.

Another side is that Railway has approved a number of renowned private hospitals for treatment of serious patients then what is use of keeping these doctors beyond 60 years who only does administrative job.

Immediate action needs to be taken and policies to be reviewed at once.

Railways is procuring corona related materials at very high price almost double and triple rate, but getting very low quality materials.

So that auditing /vigilance check of Railway purchase corona materials to be immediately done to stop wastage of public money otherwise later these consumable materials will not be available to cross check.
