Extension: IR is stuck between the devil & the deep sea

PMO should step in and restore confidence in railway’s frontline leadership

It has come to light through reliable sources that the current #CRB, Smt. #JayaVarmaSinha, is reportedly making significant efforts, with the assistance of her close relative who is retired Bihar cadre #IPS officer, to secure a six-month extension of her tenure from PMO.

#Episode54: चौबीस घंटे में तीन दुर्घटना! नियंत्रण से बाहर रेल संरक्षा! एक्सटेंशन की जी-तोड़ कोशिशें!

Despite the fact that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (#ACC) has already issued her appointment as an Administrative Member of the Central Administrative Tribunal (#CAT) at the #Ernakulam bench, she is allegedly reluctant to take up this position and is instead aiming for a spot on the Delhi principle bench, expected to become available in the next 4-5 months.

During her tenure, there has been a troubling increase in #TrainAccidents, tragically resulting in the loss of many lives. She has set #benchmark of highest rail #accidents in her tenure-even in past 24 hours there is one #derailment on East Central Railway (#ECR), parting on Northern Railway (#NR) and fire in North Western Railway (#NWR) indicating widespread loss of ability to run trains safely-a direct responsibility of hers’ as #MOBD & #CRB.

Episode53: हमहू बनिबै चेयरमैन! #AKKhandelwal #MemberInfra #RailwayBoard

It is deeply concerning that despite unprecedented fall in #Safety and #failure to discharge her duty to lead #railways, she is seeking an #extension that could potentially endanger more lives. This situation calls for serious reflection for Hon’ble #RailMinister & #PMO.

#Feedback: A senior officer said, “One of the biggest banes of the #Railways is that the top leadership – #CRB & #Members – begin to look for #extension or post-retirement jobs from the day they reach the top. Hence, their decisions are either ‘safe’ or ‘motivated’. This must stop.

If the choice indeed boils down between Mr Khandelwal & Smt. Jaya Varma Sinha, then #IndianRailways is stuck between the devil and the deep sea. #PMO should step in and restore confidence in railway’s frontline leadership.

No more #extensions please, because there is no professional honesty..
