To enhance punctuality in train movement yards remodelling work completed at Andul of Kharagpur Division

Kolkata: The dedicated team of #SouthEasternRailway has completed the #yard-remodelling work at #Andul and #Sankrail of #KharagpurDivision before the scheduled time. The Santragachi-Sankrail Link line will enhance #mobility and improve #punctuality in train movement.

Since Andul & Sankrail yard modification works have been completed, after the upcoming commissioning of the Andul-Sankrail part of the Santragachi-Sankrail link line project, the goods traffic over this section will directly move between Andul and Sankrail Goods Terminal Yard through the flyover without touching the main line stations.

This will improve the mobility of both #Passengers and #Freight trains due to less congestion. The goods trains, parcel trains, Millennium parcel trains, VP etc. coming from #EasternRailway and Northeast Frontier Railway (#NFR) will directly reach Sankrail Goods Yard Terminal without affecting the main line movement.

Safety and convenience of passengers are always top priority for South Eastern Railway. This is the first major yard remodelling work on #SER which has been meticulously commissioned without Non-Interlocking work causing least repercussion on train movement.
