Head On Collision of Goods trains on Lucknow Division of Northern Railway

Location: At Sultanpur station

Train No.: Up MTSS Goods and Dn.E/BOXN Goods

Engine: 60038/WAG12/SRE and 70159+12218WDG4/PTRU

Brief: Up MTSS/goods were coming from Banaras side, while approaching Sultanpur station, Home signal was given Red. While Dn Train E/BOXN was going towards Banaras side from Line No. 04 of sultan station, meanwhile Up MTSS/Goods Overshooted Home signal and collided with Dn Goods train, resulting 8 Wagon alongwith Engine of Dn Goods train got derailed.

Both Up & Dn Lines are blocked.

Casualty: No Casualty/No Injury

Relief: ART/Lucknow: Ordered at once and left at 06.30 hrs.

Restoration: Awaited

PF Cause: Awaited

Officers: PCSO, CELE, CRSE Freight and COM/G to proceed to Lucknow by the first available flight.
