Mamata is herself a goon -Markandeya Katju

I once went to Kolkata and attended a meeting of Mamata Banerjee. I saw several buses of people filled with people coming for this meeting.

I realised these were mostly goons being brought to give the impression that the meeting was largely attended.

Now that TMC has won a sweeping victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections nobody dare to criticise it or Mamata for fear of being beaten up.

In fact soon after the TMC victory at the polls news started coming in of the hoolganism of the TMC cadres, who beat up people, ransacked shops, etc.

Mamata is herself a goon, which was proved by the way she and her supporters behaved in the CBI, Kolkata office and nearabout after some of her senior party leaders were arrested after being seen on a video by a sting operation taking bribes.

Mamata has a long history of such behaviour. She has built up an army of goons, like the Nazi S. A. who would beat up and terrorise opponents.

Amit Mitra, Derek O’brien, Mukul Roy, Subrata Mukherjee, Partha Chatterjee, Mahua Moitra, and her other cohorts will never speak of this.

I am no supporter of the BJP, but neither can I be of that nut Mamata, who is only an empty headed demagogue and tinpot dictator who got Jadavpur University Professor Ambikesh  Mahapatra arrested only for sharing her cartoons on the social media, or the farmer Siladitya Choudhary who told her in a meeting that she had not kept her election promises, and was promptly branded as a maoist and arrested.

रिटायर्ड जस्टिस मार्कंडेय काटजू को एक मुंहफट जज और व्यक्ति के रूप में जाना जाता है। तथापि वह जैसे भी हैं, सच कहने की हिम्मत रखते हैं प्रेमपाल शर्मा की तरह, जो अपनी सौम्य भाषा-शैली में रेल, शिक्षा, समाज और व्यवस्था की विसंगतियों पर विभिन्न माध्यमों से सटीक टिप्पणी करते हैं। सबसे अच्छी बात यह है कि यह दोनों ही विभूतियां किसी राजनीतिक दल विशेष की समर्थक नहीं हैं।
