SER STARTS SENDING LIQUID MEDICAL OXYGEN FROM TATANAGAR TO LUCKNOW
Kolkata: South Eastern Railway is taking all necessary steps to ensure running of more Oxygen Express Trains from its jurisdiction to transport Liquid Medical Oxygen to different parts of the country.
The first rake of Oxygen Express from Tatanagar station started on 03.05.2021 afternoon towards Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The train from Tatanagar carried 79.13 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen loaded in 10 tankers.
Two more Oxygen Express trains started from South Eastern Railway jurisdiction on 03.05.2021.
One train left Bokaro Steel City on its way to Lucknow carrying 38.95 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen in four tankers.
The other train started from Rourkela towards Faridabad carrying 41.74 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen in three tankers.
Running of Oxygen Express Trains by South Eastern Railway started from 23rd April and total 800 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen has been despatched by South Eastern Railway through 17 Oxygen Express Trains run so far.
SER has run 10 Oxygen Express trains from Bokaro to Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) and 4 trains from Bokaro to Bhopal/Sagar/Jabalpur of Madhya Pradesh.
Apart from these, 2 trains have been run from Rourkela towards Faridabad in Haryana and 1 train from Tatanagar to Lucknow.
South Eastern Railway is relentlessly working for transportation of the life saving gas and the concerned employees are engaged round the clock to facilitate movement of the Oxygen Express Trains.
SER is fully prepared to run more Oxygen Express Trains as per requests of the State Governments.
