MUMBAI: There was a teleconference at 20:00 hrs conducted by SrDCM/CSMT, Mumbai Division, Central Railway. SrDCM/Works, DCM/Chg, DCM/Plg, ACM/TC and ACM/Chg was also present in this conference.

As per sources, this meeting ended at about 20:15 hrs and items was discussed as follows – but it’s not confirmed till late night as per CPRO/CR’s update on Twitter.

Suburban train services (EMU) exclusively for essential government workers to commence from Monday, 15/06/2020 onwards. Modalities to be worked out in meeting on 14/06/2020

No tickets to be issued from counter. State Government will provide a list of passengers and tickets will be directly handed over to state government. Payment will on advance deposit basis.

State government must issue QR code enabled I-cards to all essential workers. I-cards will also bear color coding to enable swifter ticket checking.

These Local Trains will run end-to-end with stoppages only at fast stations.

State govt must Stagger office timings to avoid over crowding in local trains and at stations.

No thermal scanning at stations.

State government will deploy manpower to conduct first round of ticket checking from their side to ensure only essential services workers enter station premises.

Announcement systems should be functioning at all boarding/deboarding stations. TMS feeding must also be ensured.

All ticket checking staff to report to their HQ from Monday with QR code scanner downloaded in their mobile phones.

PPEs should be provided to all TTEs.

Sectional Inspectors to supervise their stations.

But Suburban train services starting from Monday, I this subject, there is no any confirmation till the time, it has been stated by the Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO), Central Railway, Shivaji Suthar on Twitter as-

“There are messages in circulation about starting of suburban trains. In this regard, it is informed that.. So far, we haven’t received such instructions in this direction. We will update you once we receive instructions from competent authority” he said.
