Let’s look at developments of previous few weeks, focusing the period after deadly four #train_accident at #BahanagaBazar at #Balasore, Kharagpur Division, South Eastern Railway:

#PCSTE/#SER few days from his retirement was transferred to #NCR in a dummy assignment. He still held on to it till relieved by his own favourite, but after he finalised two large #tenders – above ₹200 crore – in favour of his preferred vendor by disqualifying two bidders to avoid #ReverseAuction and favour preferred vendor. His intriguing #transfer ensured that he still gets good money paid, just because the transfer is on administrative ground. Further, before leaving his perch, his favourite branch officer was also taken care of. So much so for messaging following a deadly accident that took 300 innocent lives.

The person who relieved him, was the same person who replaced a #CSTE/Construction who was found ‘inconvenient’ – which was revealed by this newspaper tracing the involvement of #RailBhawan’s topmost office.

While this played out in #Kolkata and #Kharagpur, larger game was afoot in #Delhi. Chess pieces were moved.

o #Consultant became #Advisor.

o #CSO/#NorthernRailway, a S&T officer became #PEDVigilance.

o #MR announced a one trillion rupees investment in the signaling system of #IndianRailways.

Ok… Now Sample This…

2005, place is #Samlaya in #AhmedabadDivision. #NarendraModi is the #ChiefMinister and centre is ruled by #Congress led #UPA with #LaluYadav being the #Minister for #Railways. #SabarmatiExpress is signalled on the mainline, but is led to a loop line where a goods train containing #cement was parked. 18 people died. This train was going to #Varanasi, the city which would send #NaMo to its #MP nine years later.

Fast forward to 2023

Place is #BahanagaBazar. #NarendraModi is the #PrimeMInister and leads #BJP led #NDA. In place of #SabarmatiExpress, it’s #CoromandelExpress and instead of cement, it was #IronOre loaded #Freight train. #Coromandel, like what happened with #Sabarmati in 2005, eighteen years later, collided identically – signalled on the main line and led to a loop line where a loaded freight train was parked. 300 people died.

Did we not warn that #ministers have changed, #governments have changed but the rotten #corrupt core has always prospered?

26 May 2014, date you would remember Modiji – you took over as #PradhanSewak of India, firing latent aspirations of millions of Indians. Were you briefed #Modiji, that the #accident which happened on the same day near #Gorakhpur, of #GorakhdhamExpress also was identical to #SabarmatiExpress and #CoromandelExpress? Why just this, the accident of #FarakkaExpress near #Raebareli was identical.

Please ask why the same type of failure continues to kill?

#Modiji, you have a very talented team at #PMO. Please call for the #statistics on #signalling failures – get figures cross checked by your intel agencies. Ask a basic question – why #failures are running in thousands per zone per month? Some people will tell you that these are largely due to cables. Now ask #CBI about #signal cable #cartels and #rackets around it.

We have written extensively about the #cartels which thrive in #Kolkata area where prices of signal equipment have been jacked up by large multiples just by making purchases as part of work, bypassing electronic #reverse_auction where games can not be played. Modiji, #electronic_reverse_auction is your government’s sterling contribution to tame cartels and prices – why should it be bypassed in signalling projects – the types which made Bahanaga Bazar possible?

So, what are you going to invest in?
