RRC WR: SM/GDCA/CABT Exam: Serious irregularities found in a Vigilance check
Mumbai: Based on the source information, a check was conducted by the Western Railway Vigilance team at Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway, Parcel Depot, Alibhoy Premji Marg, Grant Road (East), Mumbai on date 22.08.2022 on the aspect to detect the serious irregularities carried out by the RRC staff in issuing eligibility list of candidates for the post of Station Master (SM-Level-6) – GDCE quota, notification no. 04/2019.
GDCA Notification no. 04/2019 dated 20.06.2019 was issued for 135 vacancies of Station Master (SM) under GDCE quota.
Total 6479 candidates applied and appeared for the exam.
The Eligibility list approved by DyCPO – Gazetted, Headquarters, Western Railway was declared and issued on date 18.08.2022. Total 1103 candidates declared eligible.
Serious irregularities were detected by the Vigilance team in marks obtained by candidates and their merit numbers – such as – candidates who failed in exam as per the answer key were eligible while successful and exam topper candidates were removed from the eligibility list.
After scrutiny of results by the vigilance team, vast variation detected in the normalized marks provided by the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) conducting agency i.e. TCS.
On the basis of vigilance check and irregularities detected in the eligibility list issued by RRC/WR, the list of 1103 employees has been withhold till further order.

जानकारों का मानना है कि पूर्व रेलमंत्री ममता बनर्जी द्वारा स्थापित किए गए ये रेलवे रिक्रूटमेंट सेल (आरआरसी) रेलवे में भ्रष्टाचार का एक और सबसे बड़े गढ़ हैं। समय पर परीक्षा और उनके परिणाम घोषित नहीं किए जाने से यह कार्मिक असंतोष का भी एक बहुत बड़ा कारण हैं। उनका कहना है कि देश भर में 21-22 रेलवे रिक्रूटमेंट बोर्ड (आरआरबी) के रहते इन विभागीय आरआरसी का कोई औचित्य नहीं है। अतः दोनों में से किसी एक को ही अस्तित्व में रखा जाना चाहिए।
