DFC: Khurja-Bhadan section is ready for inauguration

Khurja-Bhadan section is ready and trains started running since 15th August 2019 on trial basis on this section.

So far about 600 trains already run on this section.

On an average 10 to 15 trains per day are running.

Lucky to have been associated with this project of national importance since last one year, said Rajendra Prasad Saxena, retired chief engineer of Indian Railways.

It is likely to be formally inugrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal very soon.

Last week MoSR Suresh Angadi inspected this section.

A stretch of eastern dedicated freight corridor from Bhadan to Khurja in Uttar Pradesh will be soon made commercially operational, said a source from Dedicated Freight Corporation (DFCCIL).

With the opening of the 194 km section, 15 goods trains running in the North Central Railway Zone will be shifted to the DFC easing out traffic on the Delhi-Kanpur section.

Located between Delhi-Kanpur section, the Bhadan-Khurja stretch has six stations and a total of 249 bridges consisting of 17 major, 137 minor, 92 Rail Under Bridges (RUB) and 3 Rail Over Bridges (ROBs).
