SER RUNS THE FIRST OXYGEN EXPRESS TRAIN TOWARDS ASSAM FROM TATANAGAR
Kolkata: South Eastern Railway is committed to extend the service of Oxygen Express Trains towards more destinations in minimum possible time.
The first train towards Amingaon (Assam) has originated from Tatanagar of SER’s jurisdiction yesterday evening.
The train carried 80 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in 4 tankers for the destination.
From 23rd April to 22nd May 2021 the dedicated team of South Eastern Railway has despatched total 116 Oxygen Express trains with 7876 tonnes of LMO to expedite the treatment of Covid affected patients.
These trains have moved towards Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Assam and Delhi.
Today so far, SER have despatched approx. 160 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen for Nellore, Guntur from Rourkela and for Bengaluru from Tatanagar.
Employees of SERly are working round the clock to ensure that the transportationof LMO is possible in minimum time from Bokaro, Rourkela and Tatanagar under SER’s jurisdiction for the cities having requirement of Oxygen for the Covid patient.
