The Judgement of High Court is useful for Ticket Checking Staff
Nagpur : The person who failed to produce any ticket, even of a general class then the first Information Report filed by him/her may be out of annoyance and out of revengeful attitude on the ground that the Ticket Checking staff asked her to pay a fine/Penalty for travelling in train without ticket.
THEREFORE Hon’ble High court exercise the jurisdiction under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and quashed the first Information Report registered with Railway Police station, for the offence punishable under section 354,294 and 506 of Indian Penal Code.
This judgement may certainly boost the confidence of Ticket Checking Staff to do their duty fearlessly against illegal Passenger who are filing false criminal case or FIR
