Mumbai: One more category “private security guards” are permitted on Mumbai local trains.

Private security guards in uniform and with valid identity cards to be allowed to travel.

On the request of Govt of Maharashtra, vide letter No. DMU 2020/CR 92/DM1, dated 19.10.2020, permission has been granted by Ministry of Railways, Govt of India to “Private Guards travelling with uniform” for travel by special suburban services over Mumbai Suburban network.

They are requested to obtain QR code from Government of Maharashtra at the earliest.

Until such time, uniform with valid identity cards are authority for entry at the stations.

Additional booking counters will be opened at important railway stations for the passengers.

CR-WR APPEAL

Except for categories as identified by the State Government and all ladies (Between 11 am to 3 pm and after 7 pm), others are requested not to rush to the stations.

It is also requested that travellers should follow medical and social protocols as mandated for COVID19.
