Higher Railway Administration, if have remain some integrity, “please get inquir about the cost of food paid by state for shramik specials, because it has been seen at many stations that the lesser quantity and very much poor quality of food supplied by IRCTC and claiming themselves as private operators, why they need railway staff to distribute the stuff? Why can’t they arrange their staff for work assigned for themselves?” told harrassed commercial staff of multiple divisions.

उत्तर रेलवे के एक अधिकारी का कहना है कि “बहुत ही हृदयविदारक दृश्य हैं यहां, यह हम लोग तो काफी नजदीक से देख रहे हैं। आईआरसीटीसी द्वारा लुधियाना और जम्मू में खाना देने का प्रबंध किया गया है, लेकिन जमीनी हकीकत यह है कि इन प्रवासी श्रमिकों को न तो पर्याप्त पानी दिया जा रहा है, न ही खाना। खाना के नाम पर कभी बिस्कुट तो कभी ब्रेड दिया जा रहा है। कई डीआरएम ने तो सीनियर डीसीएम को इंप्रेस्ट भी सेंक्शन नहीं किया, ताकि इन श्रमिकों को हम लोग ही बेहतर खाना उपलब्ध करा देते। आईआरसीटीसी पूरी तरह कमीशनखोरी में लिप्त है। उनका कोई माई-बाप नहीं है जो उनसे ये पूछ सके कि खाना की जगह ब्रेड-बिस्कुट क्यों दिया। सभी ने मिलकर देश का निर्माण करने वाले इन “मजदूरों” को “मजबूर” बना दिया है।”

“Railway all set for sale, sooner than later. It is purposely being projected as inefficient and stupid to pave way for giving it to private. Railway Employees and Officers are retiring in thousands every month, but there is no replacement, induction, recruitment. First to go will be huge pool of land.. profitable routes.. then ORHs and railway stations.. finally CSMT, Churchgate, Rail Bhavan, Fairly Place etc. Unions have been made impotent or are pretending to be like a pigeon before cat”, as said by retired principal head of department.

They both are born with silver spoon

Another retired senior officer said, “Both, Railway Minister and CRB are born with silver spoon. They have no experience and knowledge to run such a wide and precious organization. PMO also not care and became innocent since they are in favour of privatisation. In my opinion and experience of 36 years of service each and every officer have no interest to improve Railway. They are busy in Loot-Khasot and make money. Most of employees also not faithful and honest about their duties”.

यात्रियों और कर्मचारियों के लिए भी समान मानक क्यों नहीं बनाए जाते?

जबकि फील्ड में सीधे संदिग्ध कोरोना संक्रमितों के संपर्क में कार्यरत रेलवे स्टाफ का कहना है कि “मात्र एक अधिकारी के संक्रमण से अलग-अलग कमरों में बैठे अधिकारियों की जान बचाने के लिए रेल भवन और बड़ौदा हाउस को बंद कर दिया गया, वहीं चलती हुई गाड़ियों में रोज संक्रमित यात्री पाए जाने पर अतिरिक्त सैकड़ों गाड़ियों के संचालन का फैसला ले लिया जाता है और शायद कुछ दिनों में और भी ज्यादा गाड़ियां चलाने के आदेश आ जाएंगे। इस देश मे क्या सिर्फ अधिकारियों की ही जान कीमती है? यात्रियों और कर्मचारियों के लिए ऐसे मानक क्या कभी नहीं बनाए जा सकते???”
